David Dirks is a local child who has lived in the Methven community for the past ten years. David was born with a rare cardiac condition that significantly impacts his quality of life on a daily basis, often leading to minimal time at school, no sports and limited participation in social events with friends. David needs a full heart transplant and is active on the New Zealand transplant waiting list. Karen and the dubliner crew wanted to do something to help and came up with the idea for dance for david. the rest is history.
